Tuning your piano

I am a traditionally trained piano tuner, using my tuning fork and my ears to enable me to get the best from your piano. Pianos should be tuned regularly to maintain their quality of sound and ideally, at least twice a year. Wherever possible I tune pianos to concert pitch (A440) but if a piano has been left un-tuned for over a year it is likely to have dropped below concert pitch and may require a pitch raise. This could involve more than one tuning..

With some older pianos it may not be possible for them to maintain concert pitch. In these cases, I will offer to level the piano so that it plays well as a solo instrument and prolongs its life
