I am a fully qualified piano tuner with over 30 years experience.

I am available for piano tuning and repairs throughout South Bucks, where I live and beyond. Please go to my piano tuning page for further details.

I can undertake minor on-site repairs and can offer advice on purchasing a new or second-hand piano.

I am a member of the Association of Blind Piano Tuners (ABPT) and fully insured.

I have been vetted by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and therefore approved to work in situations with vulnerable adults or children. (Previously called CRB checks)

Your Piano Tuning Appointment

I am a traditionally trained piano tuner, using my tuning fork and my ears to enable me to get the best from your piano. A regular tuning appointment involves me tuning to concert pitch (A440) and spending some time improving the tone (piano voicing) and touch (piano regulation) of your piano. Minor repairs can also be undertaken during a tuning visit.

If a piano has not been serviced for over a year then more time has to be spent on achieving tuning stability.

With some older pianos it may not be possible for them to maintain concert pitch. In these cases, I will offer to level the piano so that it plays well as a solo instrument and prolongs its life.
